Traditional Auction
How this works: Your items will remain at your premises OR be removed to be sold at an offsite location. We will photograph your items with high resolution digital photography. We will use both high tech and traditional marketing methods to showcase your auction, to include: high resolution digital photography; all inclusive listing on our website, Facebook page & Craigslist; mailing list promotion; professionally prepared and colored auction posters; and, traditional newspaper advertisement. We use wireless computer clerking and cashiering. We will guide you through the entire auction process from set-up to clean-up.
The appeal of this option: There is a definite completion date - once it’s done, it’s done! You have a captive audience and competitive bidding! Everything sells!
Our fees: Fees are on an incremental scale depending on the final sales amount – the higher the gross, the lower our fee percentage. It is our belief that if nobody tries to take too large of a piece of pie, everyone can come out ahead. There are associated costs that come with a traditional auction. Advertising is done at the Seller’s expense. Oistad Estate & Auction Service will prepare a descriptive ad and submit it to print. We will also create a full color, descriptive auction flyer, and assist in the distribution. A site fee or extra set-up fee (normal set-up is included) may also be necessary based on need. This would be defined in any contract.
